Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Associate to join our team. As a Retail Associate, you will be the face of our store, assisting customers with their disc golf needs, maintaining store presentation, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience. A passion for disc golf is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and grow with us.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Provide knowledgeable and friendly assistance to customers, answering questions about discs, courses, and accessories.
- Sales: Assist customers with selecting and purchasing products, including discs, bags, baskets, apparel, and accessories. Upsell and cross-sell products as appropriate.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of our inventory, including new arrivals and popular items. Stay informed about disc golf trends and updates.
- Store Maintenance: Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing. Restock shelves, arrange displays, and manage inventory.
- Checkout: Operate the cash register, handle transactions accurately, and process returns or exchanges in a professional manner.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to meet sales goals, manage store operations, and support a positive work environment.
- Event Support: Assist with in-store events, promotions, and disc golf tournaments as needed.
Qualifications
- Customer Service Experience: Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Disc Golf Knowledge: Familiarity with disc golf is a plus; enthusiasm to learn about the sport is essential.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with a diverse range of customers.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to handle transactions accurately and maintain a well-organized store environment.
- Team Player: Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with others to achieve common goals.
